Introducing Jai Callahan Born in Las Vegas; Jai grew up hang in-out on stage and in recording studios with his Mom and Dad, and artists such as Jerry Miller (Moby Grape Band) Tyran Porter (Doobie Brothers) and many others. Jai being home-schooled has traveled from his birth place of Las Vegas to the Carolinas and from New York, City and back to the west coast, where he now makes his home in Klamath falls, Oregon. At the age of 16, you can find Jai in the studio writing and recording the music and songs of his heart. Through all this Jai has become a proficient musician. Learning several instruments including classical piano, drums, electric and acoustic guitars, bass and vocals. Jai has had the opportunity to play with such artists as Will McFarland (former Bonnie Raitt) guitarist and studio musician with Phil Driscoll, also Dove award winning 3 piece band Sela, at the same time rubbing shoulders with 7 time Grammy winner BJ Thomas. Learning some of the tricks of the trade in the Studio with Robert Berry(Keith Emersen and Carl Palmer) or just hanging-out with Darrell Mansfield. Now very active in the ministry with "The Callahan Band" Jai continues his musical career and is devoting himself to teaching the gospel through leading worship at youth gatherings playing progressive Christian rock, his two favorite loves. |
