Jai Redcloud Callahan, born January 18, 1991 is a new breed of artist. With a passion for Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Jai sings with fervor and honesty with a radical new sound of praise and worship for this generation and generations to come. Touched by a Godly confidence, reaching the world with songs and melodies about Jesus and the forgiveness we can find through the cross.
Born into a musical family, Jai grew up hanging out on stage and in recording studios with his Mom and Dad, and artists such as Jerry Miller (Moby Grape), Tyran Porter (Doobie Brothers) and many others. Jai has traveled from his birth place of Las Vegas to the Carolinas and from New York, City and back to the west coast, where he now makes his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
These days if not on the road, you can find Jai in the studio writing and recording the music and songs of his heart. Jai is currently working on his newest project, the "LOVE" EP which is due to release May 2011. Jai wraps his joy, passion and experience around this fresh and powerful new sound, working with long time friend and recording artist/producer Robert Berry out of the San Francisco bay area. While learning to play several instruments including classical piano, drums, electric and acoustic guitars, bass and vocals. Jai has had the opportunity to play with such artists as Will Mc Farland (former Bonnie Raitt) guitarist and studio musician with Phil Driscoll, also dove award winning 3 piece band Sela, at the same time rubbing shoulders with 7- time Grammy winner BJ Thomas. Learning some of the tricks of the trade in the studio with Robert Berry (Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer, Sammy Hagar fame) or just hanging out with "born to be wild" Darrell Mansfield or Phil Joel (former News Boys). Jai's authenticity, genuine spirit and passion have connected with many as he ministers in worship to the Lord.
Now very active in the ministry touring and sharing the stage with bands and artists such as Esterlyn, The Emberdays, Danyew, Brandon Bee, Phil Joel and Ryan Stevenson just to name a few, Jai continues his musical career and is devoting himself to writing, recording and spreading the gospel through leading worship at youth gatherings such as "Acquire the Fire" while playing venues across our nation bringing top-notch contemporary Christian pop music, and the love of Jesus Christ to our world in a life-changing way.
